Federal Parliament: a new financial path for federal agents

general assembly on January 16, 2019

In its report to the Federal Parliament, the Court of Audit examines the new financial path federal public servants may expect. Public services seem to have a good grasp of this complex matter. Due to the numerous transitional provisions, this complexity will only increase over the years. It has therefore become essential to ensure maximum knowledge transfer. The use of two separate wage schemes (one for federal public services and the other for public social security institutions) proves to be ineffective in this context. In addition, the Department of Finance does not correctly apply the previous legislation on wage supplements; however, the benefits granted so far remain as a transitional measure. Finally, it seems that the Department of Strategy and Support (BOSA) only provides a limited framework for the implementation of the new regulations at its level. The Minister of Public Service has announced improvements in this area.
